may it please the court

I'm an attorney. As such, I'm required to dress appropriately (aka conservatively) for certain things ... networking events, interviews, COURT APPEARANCES. I kind of doubt any judge is going to compliment me on my super duper cute OTK boots (that I don't have because I am not supposed to be buying anything this year) or my adorable patterned tights. And while I feel pretty good dressed up all adult and lawyer-ly, I MISS MY LEGGINGS, tunics, high boots, etc. I hate looking/feeling like a cookie cutter lawyer wandering the skyways.

But, we do what we have to do. Here's the uber-conservative dressed up ready to represent YOU look! You know you want me to be your attorney.

Pumps: BCBG
Hose: JCPenney
Dress: Banana Republic
Jacket: Thrift store
Necklace: Forever 21 mixed chains -- this is my trendy, stick it to the man because I need to EXPRESS myself and I have to wear this all-black, possibly going to a funeral outfit, to network with a bunch of lawyers accessory. TAKE THAT!
